DAY 3:  ÅLESUND – GEIRANGERFJORD (summer ony) – MOLDE
An early arrival at the enchanting Art Nouveau town of Ålesund, which is situated across several islands at the entrance to Geirangerfjord. On departures between 15 April and 14 September, the ship will sail into the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site of Geirangerfjord, where tumbling waterfalls, rugged cliffs and majestic mountains are mirrored in the deep, still water. After a call at Molde, the ship will carefully navigate the Hustadvika, a belt of islets and skerries, before docking at Kristiansund. (Optional excursions:  2A, 2B, 2C)
Overnight:  Hurtigruten  (BLD)

DAY 4:  TRONDHEIM
Continuing north, the medieval city of Trondheim is today’s highlight. Standing proud against the natural backdrop, its colourful history is reflected in handsome civic architecture.  While we sleep the ship plies its trade along the coast and enters the land of the Midnight Sun.  (Optional excursions:  3A, 3B)
Overnight:  Hurtigruten (BLD)

DAY 5: ARCTIC CIRCLE – BODO – LOFOTEN ISLANDS
In the early hours, we experience the thrill of crossing the Arctic Circle as the voyage continues to the town of Bodø.  The ship heads out to open sea for the glorious Lofoten Islands with their picturesque cabins on stilts and weathered wooden racks with drying cod.  (Optional excursions:  4A, 4D, 4E, 4F)
Overnight: Hurtigruten   (BLD)

DAY 6: TROMSØ
A relaxing morning at sea before arriving in Tromsø, the capital of Arctic Norway. Weather permitting, experience the never ending bright nights and the Midnight Sun during summer (end May to July) and the spectacular Northern Lights in winter (Oct to April).  (Optional excursions:  5A, 5B, 5C, 5D)
Overnight:  Hurtigruten  (BLD)

DAY 7:  HAMMERFEST – HONNINGSVÅG – NORTH CAPE
After an early call at Hammerfest, we continue to Honningsvåg.  Join an optional excursion to the North Cape, mainland Europe’s northernmost point at 71º north.  The North Cape plateau rises more than a thousand feet, almost vertically, from the icy cold Arctic Ocean.  Return to the ship and continue north.
Overnight:  Hurtigruten (BLD)

DAY 8:  KIRKENES
Soon we reach Kirkenes; the border with Russia is only a few kilometres away. Here the ship bids farewell to passengers travelling northbound only and welcomes those joining the southbound voyage.  (Optional excursions:  7A, 7B, 7C, 7D, 7E, 7F)  From Kirkenes, the ship hugs the coast as it visits the remote settlements it continues to serve more than a century after the Hurtigruten was created.
Overnight: Hurtigruten (D)

DAY 9:  HONNINGSVÅG – HAMMERFEST – TROMSØ

Overnight: Hurtigruten  (BLD)

DAY 10:  LOFOTEN ISLANDS – TROLLFJORD
