Full Itinerary
DAY 1: KIRKENES
On arrival in Kirkenes you will make your own way to your hotel. Kirkenes is the most remote outpost in mainland Norway located about 400km north of the Arctic Circle. In the early evening at around 17h00 you will be picked up for a guided husky safari. You will be provided with warm clothing and given a short lesson on how to handle the dogs and sled before setting off into the Arctic Tundra. The excursion will last approximately 2 hours after which you will be transferred back to the hotel.

DAY 2: KIRKENES – SNOW HOTEL
You will have some time in the morning at leisure to explore Kirkenes itself a little. Then at 13h00 you will be picked up and transferred to a base at the Langfjorden from where your snowmobile safari will leave. You will be given a quick lesson on how to handle the snowmobile and various safety precautions to observe before setting off into the Taiga Forest in Pasvik. Then you will be returned to the hotel and picked up later in the evening again and transferred to the Snow Hotel situated in the Gabba Reindeer Park.
Each December, as soon as weather and snow conditions are just right, this hotel is constructed entirely out of snow and ice. Each snow suite is individually decorated with furniture, sculptures and wall paintings made out of ice carvings. Beds are topped with reindeer pelts to keep guests cosy and warm. We suggest you visit the snow bar for an “iced” drink. Dinner tonight will be served in the restaurant.

DAY 3: SNOW HOTEL – KIRKENES
In the morning you will be transferred from the Snow Hotel back to the hotel in Kirkenes. The rest of the day will then be at your leisure. We suggest you try ice fishing for King-crab or strapping on some snow-shoes and simply exploring the countryside around Kirkenes.

DAY 4: KIRKENES
After breakfast, the tour ends and you will make your own to your next departure point. (B)
