Scandinavia is the region located almost at the ‘top of the world’. The Scandinavian countries are Norway, Sweden and Denmark, but Finland and Iceland are also usually included in the term “Scandinavia”. Sweden and Finland are known for their lakes and vast forests as well as charming coastal areas. The dramatic fjords and mountains are found in Norway, which is the country stretching furthest north. Norway is also the country usually visited for the Midnight Sun (in summer) and the Northern Lights (in winter).
