Full Itinerary
Day 1: CAIRO – ST. CATHERINE
You will leave Cairo and travel across the Suez Canal and then continue driving south through the Sinai Peninsula to the Springs of Moses where the prophet is said to have rested with his flock. The journey continues to the Oasis of Feran, the largest cultivated area on the peninsula. You should arrive at the monastery of the nuns, St. Catherine, in the early evening.
Overnight: St. Catherine (LD)
Day 2: MT. SINAI – ST. CATHERINE – CAIRO
Early this morning you will climb to the top of Mt. Sinai in time to watch the spectacular sunrise from the summit. This is where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Then you will descend the mountain and visit the Monastery of St. Catherine* at the foot of Mt Sinai. Thereafter you will start the return journey to Cairo through the Eastern Desert. (BL)
