Eilat lives by the rhythm of the sun, the desert, the sea and nature itself. The calm transparent waters of the Red Sea reveal delightful surprises of breathtaking coral reefs and an enchanted underwater world, featuring thousands of varieties of fish and other marine life forms. The inspiring tranquility of the desert around Eilat will leave you with an indelible memory.
Overnight: Eilat
DAY 2: EILAT
Explore Eilat on your own. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, diving in the Red Sea or pre-book an optional Jeep tour to Timna, yacht excursions on the Red Sea (details on request) or a tour to Petra.
Overnight: Eilat (B)
DAY 3: EILAT – TEL AVIV
Today you will fly from Eilat back to Sde Dov or Ben Gurion Airports. (B)
Optional Day Tour to Petra on Day 2 – USD 310 per person (excluding USD 125 per person for Jordanian border and visa fees to be paid on the spot)
Depart from your Eilat hotel at approximately 07h00 and drive to the border. After crossing the border, drive to Petra along the desert highway. The astonishing rose-red city of Petra was built by the Nabateans (an early Arab Tribe) who settled in southern Jordan more than two thousand years ago. The visit begins with a horseback-ride (or walk) for about 700 meters to the entrance of the “Siq”. Then continue through the Siq on foot (approximately 1.2 km walking distance). Petra is famous for its huge monuments such as the Treasury, Royal Tombs, the Court, Roman Theatre, Roman Street, Qassier El – Bint (Palace of the Pharaoh’s daughter) and many other smaller monuments. After the visit, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and drive back to the Border. A quick stop will be made in Aqaba before returning to Eilat where you will arrive at approximately 18h00. (L)
