 DAY 2:  AMMAN – JERASH – AJLOUN – AMMAN

The day’s activities will begin with you travelling north to the Roman City of Jerash. Hidden for centuries in sand before being excavated and restored over the past 70 years, this city is often referred to as the Pompeii of the Middle East. In the afternoon the journey then continues to Ajloun where you will visit the Castle, built in the 12th century by Saladin in his campaign against the Crusaders. Thereafter you will return to Amman.
Overnight:  Amman (BD)

DAY 3:  AMMAN – MADABA – MT. NEBO – KERAK – PETRA

You will travel to Petra via the scenic Kings Highway, littered with the remains of Crusaders forts and outposts. En-route visit Madaba, the “City of Mosaics”, with two million pieces of vividly coloured local stone. You will be able to admire the famous 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land on the floor of the Church of St. George. The next stop for the tour will be at Mt. Nebo, the site where Moses reportedly spent his final days. Mt. Nebo offers a fantastic vista that includes the Dead Sea, the West Bank, the Jordan River, and on a clear day, Bethlehem and Jerusalem in Israel. Thereafter you will continue south via Wadi Mujib and visit the imposing Crusader Castle at Kerak. Finally you will arrive in Wadi Mousa, the modern village of Petra.
Overnight:  Wadi Mousa – Petra (BD)

DAY 4:  PETRA

Today will likely be the highlight of the tour as you visit the historic site Jordan is best known for, the lost Nabatean city of Petra. Walk through the awesome Siq, a gorge that winds for 1km between hanging cliffs. You will see El Khazneh, a massive façade carved out of the sheer, rose-red rock-face and dwarfing everything around it. Thereafter you will continue exploring Petra, voted as one of the new Wonders of the World in a Swiss campaign in the early 2000s.
Overnight:  Wadi Mousa – Petra  (BD)

DAY 5:  WADI RUM

Depart for Wadi Rum where you will enjoy a Bedouin jeep experience in Wadi Rum. The moonlike landscape of Wadi Rum is unique to the world, dotted with massive mountains and coloured in shades of red, yellow and orange. Their hues spill over to colour the sand dunes of the desert and the horizon of this breath-taking panorama – every photographer’s dream!
Overnight:  Wadi Rum – Bedouin Camp (BD)

DAY 6:  WADI RUM – DEAD SEA

Rise early to enjoying sunrise in Wadi Rum. The red desert is amplified at dawn, with the light constantly altering the colours. As the sun slowly rises, the sandstone cliffs appear to take different shapes.

After breakfast, continue to the Dead Sea, 420 meters below sea level at what is known as the lowest point on Earth.  Here, you can relax, rejuvenate your body and replenish your soul. Take a stroll along the shore and float effortlessly on the mineral-rich water.   The black mud found at the Dead Sea also has therapeutic qualities, it contains more than 25 different minerals that are said to help with things like acne, cellulite and aging.
