Full Itinerary
The run up to Christmas is a magical time in Lapland. Santa is getting ready for his mammoth journey across the world and the elves are busy making all the presents. What better time to pay him a visit with your Christmas wishes for the year? Staying at Hotel Harriniva you can guarantee the Santa’s reindeer and the elves are not far away. Visit Santa is the perfect package for families wanting to experience everything on offer in Santa’s homeland.
Day 1: ARRIVAL
Arrive at Kittilä airport and transfer to Muonio, Harriniva hotel.

Day 2: REINDEER AND HUSKY
Transfer to the local reindeer farm after breakfast. You will have a chance to feed them, learn how to throw a lasso and experience a short reindeer ride. Lunch will be served in the ice restaurant (this is weather dependent, should conditions not be appropriate lunch will instead be around the fire in a traditional kota (tent)). Then this afternoon you will go to the husky farm where you will have a guided tour and meet some of the husky pups as well as the experienced sled dogs. Learn a little about the dogs before enjoying a 6km husky safari. Tonight there will be a special Christmas dinner.

Day 3: SNOWMOBILES, COOKIE BAKING, SNOW FUN AND SANTA
The day’s first activity will be a 20km snowmobile safari. The configurations will be two persons per snowmobile whilst any children will be sitting on a sled pulled by the local guide. After a short break for your included lunch you will bake Finnish cookies and make Christmas decorations. In the afternoon the day’s adventure continues with snow fun activities. Try your hand at walking around with snowshoes, or perhaps try some ice fishing or zooming down the toboggan slope (you are never too old to toboggan!). Children will also have a chance to drive their own mini snowmobile under supervision. Then the day’s highlight arrives as you take off into the forest on a sled in search of Santa’s secret hideout.
Special Santa Service
Bring with you your child’s letter to Santa along with a small gift from their wish list and we will have them waiting in the cabin. Imagine your child’s eyes light up when not only has he got their letter but he has already got one gift from their wish list ready for them!
