Full Itinerary
DAY 1: ATHENS
After arrival at Athens Airport you will be transferred to the hotel.
Overnight:Athens
DAY 2: ATHENS
Today you will take a half-day city tour of Athens. You will see Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the National Library and the Presidential Palace. Visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. Continue to the Acropolis and visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens; the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the Parthenon. This guided exploration of Athens will end with a visit to the New Acropolis Museum, one of the most important archaeological museums in Athens and home to many historic statues. The afternoon will be at your leisure.

DAY 3: ATHENS – DELPHI – ATHENS
Today you will drive through the fertile plain of Boeotia, crossing the towns of Thebes linked to the tragedy of King Oedipus, Levadia and Arachova. Thereafter you will arrive at Delphi, the center of Ancient World. Then the journey continues to the slopes of Mount Parnassus. In a landscape of unparalleled beauty and grandeur, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Here you will visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum with masterpieces of Ancient Greek sculpture including the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias. Thereafter you will return to Athens.

DAY 4: ATHENS – POROS – HYDRA – AEGINA – ATHENS
This morning you will be transferred to Piraeus for embarkation on a three island cruise. The first stop will be on Poros, the smallest of the three Saronic islands on this cruise. The island is covered with pine and lemon trees. Here you can enjoy a beautiful walk up to the clock tower and admire the panorama.
Then the cruise continues to Hydra which is considered to be the “smartest” of the Greek islands and is a favourite resort of the International “Jet Set”. The unique architecture of its houses, the pedestrian narrow streets full of boutiques, exclusive jewellery and handicrafts attracts both shoppers and photographers. There are no cars in Hydra, and saddled donkeys are the traditional mode of transport used for both people and goods on the island.
Then sail to Aegina which is the biggest island you will be visiting and the second-largest in the Saronic Gulf. It is home to two important archaeological sites: a large Cathedral dedicated to St. Nektarios and the Temple of Afea. Whilst exploring the island you will find a wonderful fish market, a unique floating fruit market and an economy based chiefly on pistachio nuts. Thereafter the cruise returns to Piraeus and you will be transferred to your hotel.

DAY 5: ATHENS
Today will be entirely at your leisure to explore Athens on your own. Or you could pre-book an optional tour. Details on request.
