Tuesday:  Mykonos
You will arrive at Mykonos nice and early in the morning at 07h00. Welcome to Greece’s most famous cosmopolitan island, a whitewashed paradise in the heart of the Cyclades. You will have the entire day at your leisure here. You could explore the island’s capital town, Hora, strolling around its narrow marble streets admiring whitewashed houses with colourful doors and window frames. Wander around the pedestrian shopping streets, the most glamorous of which is Matoyanni Street, lined with brand name stores, charming cafés and stylish restaurants or visit the Archeological, Folklore and Maritime Museums. Soak up the atmosphere along the lively waterfront, perhaps you could even find out why Mykonos carries the nickname “Island of Winds” and enjoy some surfing or other watersports. And the fun doesn’t stop at night as the ship only leaves in the morning so you will get a chance to experience the nightlife on Mykonos as well, just make sure to be back on board by 06h00 at the latest.

Wednesday:  Mykonos – Milos
The ship will leave Mykonos at 07h00 cruising to Milos where it should arrive at 13h00. Milos is the south-western most island in the Cyclades group and you will have the afternoon and evening to explore it at your leisure. The island is famous for the statue of Aphrodite (the “Venus de Milo”, now in the Louvre), and also for statues of the Greek god Asclepius (now in the British Museum) and Poseidon and as well as an archaic Apollo in Athens. Milos is “the island of colours” thanks to its volcanic origin which offers beaches and waters of unique colourful beauty. Perhaps you could take a look at the Christian Catacombs, one of the many churches or a museum. The cruise ship will depart from Milos in the night at 23h59.

Thursday:  Santorini
At08h00 the ship will arrive at the volcanic paradise that is Santorini. The islands that form Santorini came into existence as a result of intensive volcanic activity; twelve huge eruptions occurred, one approximately every 20,000 years, and each violent eruption caused the collapse of the volcano’s central part creating a large crater (caldera). An excursion has been included for you here which will see you boarding a bus and driving past the picturesque villages of Firostefani, Imerovigli and Megalochori, the last surrounded by famous vineyards at one of which a quick photo stop will be made. Finally you will arrive in Oia, the island’s second-largest village, whose gleaming white streets you will walk though as you explore the labyrinth of shops, cafes, art galleries and hotels, harmoniously built in the unmistakable Cycladic style. You will have some leisure time to take pictures of the awe-inspiring scenery and to perhaps do a little shopping. In the evening you are then free to enjoy the Santorini nightlife.

Friday:  Santorini
Yesterday the included tour took up much of your time but today will be entirely at your leisure to explore Santorini at your own pace. The island is a fantastic place for scenic walks and hikes, or perhaps you would like to relax at the Red Beach with its multi-coloured sand. You could spend the day exploring the capital, Fira, which should also offer some good shopping opportunities or perhaps find a local operator who will take you the Kameni islands. For people who love scenic experiences there is no shortage of things to do on Santorini. At 23h00 your time on Santorini ends as the ship gets underway to Crete.
Overnight:  Celestyal cruise ship  (BLD)

Saturday:  Crete
The ship will arrive at Heraklion (Crete) at 07h00. Heraklion is the birthplace of the Minoan civilization, the first notable civilization in Europe, so it stands to reason that an imposing palace was built here. You will visit the Palace of Knossos by bus as part of the included excursions for the cruise. There you will go on a guided tour and see highlights like the Hall of the Royal Guard and the Double Axes as well as the King’s and Queen’s chambers. Later you will return to Heraklion and have the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore Crete’s capital city and its museums, or perhaps you could go wine tasting at one of the surrounding wineries. In the evening the cruise will continue at 20h30 cruising toward Kusadasi.

Sunday:  Crete – Kusadasi
The morning will mostly be taken up by cruising till you arrive in Kusadasi at 11H30. Kusadasi is a popular port and holiday town on the Turkish coast. The main attraction of Kusadasi is the proximity to Ephesus which you will visit by bus. Built 3,000 years ago, Ephesus shaped the history of Greek, Turkish and Christian. It is currently one of the largest Roman archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. As you explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site you will have the opportunity to breathe in the centuries of cultural effervescence, visible in the Ephesus Agora, Odeon, the Houses of the Patricians, the beautiful Temple of Hadrian and the astonishing Library of Celsus. Thereafter you will have a little time at leisure both at Ephesus and then back in Kusadasi before the ship leaves again at 17h00 on the final leg of the cruise back to Athens.
