| Service & Description | Overnight | ||
| Day 1 | KIRKENES | ||
| Board your vessel, sailing from Kirkenes early afternoon. The ship hugs the coast as it visits the remote settlements it continues to serve more than a century after the Hurtigruten was created, to provide a vital link with the rest of the country. This gives us the opportunity to see Norway as the Norwegians see it. Relax on board and enjoy the majestic scenery. (D) | Hurtigruten |
||
| Day 2 | HAMMERFEST - TROMSØ | ||
![]() |
Hammerfest, the world’s most northerly town is our first major stop, before continuing to Tromsø and a chance to enjoy the midnight concert in the Arctic Cathedral. (BLD) | Hurtigruten |
|
| Day 3 | LOFOTEN ISLANDS | ||
![]() |
Passing through the legendary Lofoten Islands the ship negotiates an intricate network of inlets and isles. This is one of the most beautiful stretches of the Norwegian coast and for many it is the most stunning part of your journey south. You can opt for an optional excursion from Harstad, rejoining the ship in Sortland, before moving on to what is the highlight of the voyage for many, a possible detour into the spectacular and dramatic Trollfjord. This remarkable day is completed with an evening return to Svolvær and a farewell to the islands at Stamsund. (BLD) | Hurtigruten |
|
| Day 4 | ARCTIC CIRCLE | ||
![]() |
There is further excitement today as the ship crosses the Arctic Circle. Sailing past the famed peaks of the dancing Seven Sisters, folklore merges with the facts of nature – look out of Torghatten, which still bears the hole made by Hestmannen’s arrow in one of Norway’s popular legends. The new museum at Rørvik celebrates the important part the sea has played in defining today’s Norway. (BLD) | Hurtigruten |
|
| Day 5 | TRONDHEIM – KRISTIANSUND - MOLDE | ||
| An early arrival in the medieval city of Trondheim gives you an opportunity to explore and maybe visit the Nidaros Cathedral. The voyage then continues out of the Trondheimsfjord and past Hitra Island, making brief calls at Kristiansund and Molde before a midnight call at Ålesund. (BLD) | Hurtigruten |
||
| Day 6 | BERGEN | ||
![]() |
The landscape becomes increasingly lush as the journey weaves through the islets and beautiful Bergen comes into view. Before long it’s time to say good-bye to the ship and “på gjensyn” (‘until we meet again’) to friends, fellow passengers and our crew, as we disembark from our magnificent journey on the Norwegian Coastal Voyage. Own transfer to the airport. (B) | ||
