The highlights include: scenic Mpumalanga and the Blyde River Canyon, a visit to Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and the “BIG FIVE” of Kruger National Park (oldest game park in Africa).
Day 1:
We depart at 06h30 from Randburg, north of Johannesburg, and travel through the beautiful scenery of Mpumalanga, via the historic town of Pilgrims Rest and the spectacular Blyde River Canyon to Hoedspruit. We overnight at Ya Mati campsite, Moholoholo, on the banks of the Blyde River (or similar).
Day 2:
This morning we undertake a tour of the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre where we have the opportunity to see and learn about lion, leopard, serval, honey badgers, eagles and vultures. We then continue to the famous wildlife sanctuary of the Kruger National Park, one of the oldest game reserves in Africa, and enjoy our first game-drive en route to our camp.
Day 3 & 4:
We spend our time exploring the wonders of the park during early morning and afternoon game drives observing numerous species of animals and birds, relaxing in camp during the heat of the day. Optional activities include night game drives and guided walks.
Day 5:
We return to Johannesburg at +-16h00. (Breakfast and lunch)
