Norway has been nominated many times in tourist inquiries as one of the most beautiful places in the world.

One of the last great natural frontiers of the world, Norway invites exploration, with its steep and jagged fjords, salmon-filled rivers, unspoiled fishing villages, glistening glaciers, mountains, and meadows. In the winter the shimmering aurora borealis (northern lights) are alluring, before giving way to the midnight sun of summer. Norway offers rich historic sites of Viking and Medieval days of which can be visited at the museums in Oslo and Bergen.

Norway is also famed for its Sami people living in far northern Lapland, however most of its population live in the main cities of Oslo, Bergen, Drammen, Kristiansand, Stavanger, and Trondheim. While others live in the rural areas and fish for a living. An excellent way to visit the forest, fjord and mountain areas; are by train, self drive, ferry or a coastal ship voyage.
