Day 1: MILAN
Arrival in Milan . Pick-up rental car at Milan airport. O/N: Milan.
Day 2: MILAN - FLORENCE
Leave Milan and we suggest a drive to Bologna. This is a little medieval town, famous for its university. In the heart of the old city, Piazza Maggiore and the adjoining Piazza del Nettuno are lined by some of Bologna's most graceful medieval and Renaissance monuments. Although the squares are car-free they are nevertheless bustling with people sitting in the many cafès and at times gathered around the mime artists and buskers who perform in the middle of the square. Continue to Florence and check in at your hotel. O/N: Florence. (B)
Day 3: FLORENCE
Today you can spend the whole day walking around on your own or you can take a optional sightseeing tour to visit this magnificent city of art and culture. In the afternoon we recommend a visit either to the Academy Gallery where you will find a collection of fine paintings including Michelangelo's David or the Uffizi Gallery. O/N: Florence. (B)
Day 4: FLORENCE - TUSCANY
This morning you may either continue your sightseeing of Florence or you may want to drive to Pisa (45 minutes) through the lovely Chianti countryside. In Pisa there is not much to see except for the fascinating leaning tower, the baptistery and the Cathedral. Another part of Tuscany also near Florence which is very pretty is the town of San Gimignano, a little medieval town built on a hill top overlooking the entire valley. O/N: Florence. (B)
Day 5: FLORENCE - TUSCANY - ROME
Leave Florence and head for Rome . We recommend that you stop in Siena. This gothic city is constructed on three hills in the heart of Tuscany . This monumental and medieval city is encircled by its ancient walls and is famous for its splendid square "Piazza del Campo", designed in the shape of a shell . Here, every year the famous "Palio" takes place. Continue to Rome, check in at your hotel. O/N: Rome. (B)
Day 6: ROME
At leisure in Rome. Explore the city on your own, suggest visit to the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Spanish Steps and the Vatican with St. Peter's Cathedral. (Optional tours available). O/N: Rome. (B)
Day 7: ROME
At leisure in Rome till check-out from your hotel. Drop your rental car off at the airport. (B)
