Day 1 - Sunday: MALTA
Arrival in Malta, transfer to hotel. O/N: Malta.
Day 2 - Monday: MALTA - VALETTA
Enjoy a half-day tour of Valetta. View the Barracca Gardens which command a breathtaking panorama of the Grand Harbour. On to St. John’s Cathedral, adorned in riches that date back to the Knights of Malta. We also visit the Church Museum, adorned with Flemish Tapestries. View the Grand Master’s Palace and other buildings of historical importance. Lastly we stop at Malta Experience, a multivision show that depicts Malta’s history throughout the ages. Afternoon at leisure. O/N: Malta. (B)
Day 3 - Tuesday: MALTA - MDINA
A half-day tour to the capital of Mdina. During our walk in the “silent city”, we visit the Cathedral and imposing bastions, which allow us to admire a panorama of most of the island. Later we proceed to Dingil Cliffs. Finally we stop at the Botanic Gardens of San Anton. Afternoon at leisure. O/N: Malta. (B)
Day 4 – Wednesday: MALTA
A day at leisure to explore Malta on your own. Described as an open-air museum the past is very visible today. The biggest influence of Malta undoubtedly had to be the arrival of the Knights of the Order of St. John. The tradition of hospitality they introduced is still alive and well today. They were patrons of the arts for over 250 years and you’ll find cultural masterpieces in museums, palaces and churches across the Islands. There is more to Malta than history. Explore the beaches, villages, shops and try out the extensive nightlife. O/N: Malta. (B)
Day 5 – Thursday: MALTA – GOZO
A full day’s tour to Malta’s sister island of Gozo. A twenty-minute ferry crossing to Gozo where you will notice that although both islands are similar, Gozo has a character entirely of its own. Gozo is greener and more picturesque than Malta. During this tour we visit the Azur Window at Dwelra, the Citadel in Victoria, the Bay of Xlendi, and the Gozo Heritage. Free time for shopping. Late afternoon return to Malta. O/N: Malta. (B)
Day 6 – Friday: MALTA
At leisure in Malta. (Optional tour to the Blue Grotto). O/N: Malta. (B)
Day 7 – Saturday: MALTA
Your last day in Malta. Beaches, shopping and interesting sights still await you! O/N: Malta. (B)
Day 8 – Sunday: MALTA
Check out from your hotel, transfer to the airport. (B)
